Application to Drop Economics 280
Dear Board of Studies
I am applying to drop Economics 280 despite the fact that the deadline to drop courses has passed. I have recently been informed that I have the necessary credits to graduate this year with my planned Major/ Minor combination without taking Economics 280 this term. I was not aware of this when I decided to take Econ 280 at the beginning of the term which bumped up my course load for the term to 19.5 credits worth of classes, which is above the recommended number of credits a student should take in a term. I would certainly have dropped 280 before the deadline if I had known that I could graduate without taking the course as I have struggled this term keeping up with my heavy course load. I have also recently been accepted into the Queens Graduate Diploma of Business which runs from May to August this year. This is a very difficult program which encourages students to prepare vigorously for it, something I am finding hard to do while taking 19.5 Credits this term. Allowing me to drop Economics 280 would allow me to take a more manageable amount of classes this term and would allow me to focus on preparing to take the Queens Graduate Diploma of Business.
My student number is 10098253, and I would be glad to answer any questions you may have about dropping Economics 280.
Thank you for considering my application and have a nice day.
