Petition Letter
I would like to add a course after the academic deadline. I am currently a returning student after withdrawing for a year. After consulting with an academic advisor, I was able to prepare an academic plan for my future courses path. I would like to retake most of the 100 level science courses such as BIO 102 or BIO 103, MATH 121, PHYS 117, etc. over the next terms to get a better understanding of the principle science courses and to achieve better grades that would replace my current standings on these courses. The first step to this goal would be to retake BIO 102 over the May- July term with the instructor Kenton Ko. I was not able to excel in this course when I took it previously because it was a difficult course for me to juggle this course with my other fall courses and there was an extenuating circumstances that affected my final grade which is outlined in the previous appeal. I would like to take this particular course because I would be able to just focus on this one course for the summer term and I would be able to put more time into exceling in this course.
