Academic Plan
My plan to help correct this drastic problem affecting my academic life, and to achieve academic success, is one that I could not have made without first doing poorly in first year. The struggles I faced this year made me realized how I need adjust the strategies I use to organize my coursework and study material. I am going to make appointments with a Learning Strategist at Queen¿¿s to be able to help me make a better study guide for each individual course. I will be attending all scheduled tutorials as well as non-mandatory study tutorials for all courses I will be enrolled in, including those I will be retaking, in order to be able to get a better grasp on key concepts. I am a very visual hands-on learner and after this year, I realized that just relying on lectures for learning is not a good strategy for me. I need to practice course material and talk to people one on one about it in order to fully understand topics. As such, I will regularly be attending office hours with my professors in order to clarify any content I may be unsure of. I am also going to be taking 5 courses instead of 6 to ease the academic pressure and allow me to better engage with the courses I am enrolled in. Attached, you will find a letter from my doctor addressing the issue of my anxiety under performance conditions. To even further guarantee my success, my doctor recommended that I take anti ¿¿ anxiety medication, which I will be taking during the school year, which will drastically help my performance while taking exams. These are all the steps I need to ensure my success for the rest of my academic life. I am not only appealing to have these marks dropped and changed, but I am appealing for a second chance; a chance to prove to not only myself, but my professors and counselors and to you, that I do belong in this school, and more than ever, I want to succeed and learn as much as I can.
Thank you for your consideration and for taking the time out of your day to read this letter.

Noah Levine
