Academic Plan
I had to come home for the summer because my housing plans for the summer were cancelled after finding out that the person I was going to lease the room from this summer did not want to give it to me anymore. The reason being that this individual is close friends with the individual I had issues with in semester 2. I began seeking professional aid from a psychologist about my mental health.
I have grown to understand that not everyone is going to like me in the world and that not everyone is fond of different people. I was given a reality check that the world is not a utopia and although I had obviously experienced discrimination in my life, being from a place as diverse as Markham somehow shielded me from this. I have come to peace with everything and would never generalize an entire a group to be like that, but I understand that I will always come across at least someone like that. Unfortunately, it's the way the world is and as much as I wish that it wasn't, I know its impossible.
I truly do love school, I hope to someday become a Lawyer and an advocate for Human Rights. I've just experienced a plethora of mental abuse and have coped very negatively with all of those incidents. I am working with my psychologist and am using different methods to cope with my issues. I am working this summer to save money for my rent for the house I've signed for in September and to pay for school costs that OSAP wont suffice for so that I wont need to rely on my parents. I am also repeating a course that I did poorly on that I actually want to someday major in this summer and am distancing myself/keeping busy so that I will have to interact with my family as little as possible. I plan to lighten my work load next year so that I will have less on my plate, as well as continue to work with my psychologist. I am hopeful about my health now that I am seeking help. I am just asking for a second chance, I have plans to do better and be better I truly do care about my future
