Academic Plan
Though I have had an unfortunate and unlucky year, I currently feel level-headed, confident and ready to approach this upcoming year with the conscientiousness and grit that I know I possess. I just hope that my GPA won¿¿t have to forever reflect those challenging times in my life.
I¿¿m planning on going into physics these next 2 years, with this coming year delegated to getting me back on the correct course path. This fall semester I am taking PHYS106, CISC110, GEOL107, and WRIT125, and I am taking similar courses for winter term. The current plan for 3rd year is switching my major from BIOL to PHYS.
I have been in touch with my family GP this summer regarding medications and counselling resources, and I underwent much counselling this summer through VGH Sexual Assualt Centre. I have made great personal strides this last month, I am learning to speak out about both mental illness and sexual assault in hopes to help mitigate the stigma, as I am realizing how prevalent these issues are in todays society-- even among fellow Queen's peers. In the future, I will be sure to immediately seek outside help if need be, whether that be through counselling or other Student Health resources.
I know how important it is to take full accountability for my actions, and I completely understand any consensus to this appeal. I do feel as though I¿¿ve learnt lots through this last year and I am happy to express that I am excited for this upcoming year at Queen¿¿s.
