Petition Letter
Dear Dr. Bénard,
I am writing to you today to appeal to add PSYC 575 (Special Directed Lab) with Professor Kuhlmeier past the academic deadline.
I made the mistake of thinking that the Add/Drop period applied only to courses one enrolls in on SOLUS, and did not apply to this course. Professor Kuhlmeier provided me with the documentation for this course the week of the Add/Drop deadline, and I decided I would hand it in the next time I was in Humphrey Hall for class, which was the following week. It was an oversight on my part not to clarify if the Add/Drop deadline applied to this course, and I take full responsibility for this error.
I would be very grateful for the opportunity to add this course to my schedule. I completed PSYC 570 (also a Special Directed Lab course) with Professor Kuhlmeier last semester, and was very excited when she provided me the opportunity to continue working in her lab this semester through another course. I have already been completing the requirements of this course since the start of the semester, and therefore will not be behind, despite officially adding the course late.
Thank you for considering my appeal.
Sincerely,
Taylor Bardell
