Academic Plan
Good Afternoon,
My most recent appeal was granted (Number 4082) and I am now appealing to add four classes after the last day to add deadline has passed. These classes are GPHY 403, SOCY 235, ENIN 140, and RELS 163. I was contacted last thursday by the asc.appeals@queensu.ca email informing me with the 4082 decision. Since that day I have been attending lectures, tutorials, and office hours for the on campus classes. I would like to complete these courses this term as I will be able to graduate with my Honours Degree and attend teachers college this fall once they have been completed. It is very important to me to finish my con-ed degree as I have dreamt of being a con-ed graduate, and teacher, for as long as I can remember. With the support of these professors I have vowed to catch up on all of the material missed, and have already begun to do so. I am no longer involved in queen¿¿s clubs or teams, I have left my serving job in kingston, and am completely devoting my time to a successful Winter term. I always make use of office hours and TA meetings and will continue to do that if this appeal is approved. It is difficult to put into words just how strongly I feel about completing this semester and achieving my goal of graduating with honours. Even though I have a strong geographical and sociological background as most of the courses I¿¿ve completed at queen¿¿s are in that field, all four courses seem fascinating. I have been able to obtain the 2018 syllabus for all courses and given the material a detailed overview. If you can base this appeal off one thing please determine your decision by accepting the dedication I am giving to enrol in four courses at this point in the term. I have never prioritized a goal more than I have to successfully complete these classes and obtain my Honours degree. Attached are the emails from professors and department heads giving their support.
Thank you for taking the time to review my appeal. I look forward to hearing back from you at your earliest convenience.
