Petition Letter
Dear Queens University
In the Fall of 2017 I returned to Queens for my second year in Film Studies. Unfortunately my mental health had deteriorated over the summer of 2017 and when I returned to school I was, in retrospect, neither fully fit nor truly ready to return to school. Over the course of the fall I reduced my course load to one course which I was unable to successfully complete.
I have withdrawn from Queens and I am enrolled in two courses at Carleton while living at home. Things are looking brighter.
Previously, with my parents support, I did appeal, are was granted, a return of fees paid for the four courses that I dropped.
Based on these extenuating circumstances I am writing to appeal for the failing grade on my transcript to be modified in some fashion, or perhaps removed altogether, ( I am not entirely certain of what the choices could be ) and for the remaining fees to be reimbursed, please.
I do have a medical certificate that was issued in October 2017 that I would gladly provide if that is needed.
Thank you for your time and consideration.
Charlie Hart
