Petition Letter
I need to appeal to register past the deadline as I had some complications preventing me from being able to enroll. I had to first apply for an appeal to register with debt as I was unable to work unexpectedly during the school year due to my pregnancy. In order for my appeal to register with debt to be fully approved I needed my osap application to be approved.
My osap application was more complicated than expected as now I am married and have a child which meant there were required documents that I was not completely aware of. Due to my husband being an American citizen and in the US Army he required a special tax form and needed to forward the papers to me (as i live in canada and he is stationed in the United States) which I then needed to forward to the Osap representative. This slowed down the process immensely as my husband has limited access to a computer and scanner and has no means of travelling outside of the military base, as well he has been working extra hours preparing for his units deployment in a few months.
The Osap received final documentation yesterday which means that my appeal to register with debt was only now fully approved lifting the hold and allowing me to be able to register with debt. I would really like to be able to enroll in these courses as they help to make up for electives I was unable to complete during the school year as a result of my pregnancy. My goal is to graduate my program within a timely matter as I will be unable to take a full course load during the fall semester as my husband will be away and I will be living in Long Island New York taking care of the baby and commuting to and from kingston.
I have also spoken to the proffessors for all of the classes who have told me the work i would need to catch up on to ensure that I am able to successfully complete the course even with late enrollment
