Petition Letter
I am appealing to drop CHEM 112(Fall 2017 and Winter 2018) MATH 110(Fall 2017 and Winter 2018) BIOL 103(Winter 2018) and WRIT 125(Winter 2018).
I suffered from depression and it started from the fall semester 2017. The feeling grew stronger and stronger, and I stopped going to class and avoided meeting people. I was lonely and not having good friends, blocking myself in my room crying and had very bad health habits. I can¿¿t do anything for the courses I was studying. Things went worse at the second semester, I didn¿¿t contact my counselor or looking for help because I see no hope in life.
After the winter semester, I talked to my mother and I contacted my counselor after that. I then started improving my health habits, trying to get back tack on life, study, and to feel more positive. And I did make some progress now, I think. I talked to academic advisor, then I booked an appointment at SASS and made plans for the summer courses I am taking. I also make plans to keep contact with them by phone when I am not at school this summer. I have been working hard on getting well and I feel that next year will be better for me.
In the future, I am going to meet my counselor regularly and take less course to reduce my stress, enjoy learning and put more effort to deal with my mental difficulties. I hope you will grant my appeal so I can make a fresh start with the academic plan. Thank you
