Petition Letter
Dear Dr. Johanne Benard,
I am writing to request late admission to ASTR 101. I am a Secondary Occasional Teacher with the Limestone District School Board and Queen's Alumna (BScH 2008) and I am interested in furthering my skill set. Currently, I am qualified to teach Chemistry and Mathematics and I am hoping to add Physics. I am required to take additional undergraduate courses to fulfill this goal. Originally I was planning on waiting to take PHYS P20 in the fall, as I did not consider Astronomy courses. I've just seen that ASTR 101 has just begun and I feel I am more than capable of catching up with the course work. With a suggested time commitment of 10hours/week I feel that I will be able to catch up quickly. Furthermore, I am hoping to take ASTR 102 in the fall as well which requires ASTR 101 as a prerequisite.
I appreciate the inconvenience this may cause the instructor and I understand that this accommodation may not be possible, but it can't hurt to ask.
Thank you for your time and consideration of my request.
Sincerely,
Elisa Belyea (Rupoli)
