Academic Plan
If my appeal is accepted, I know I will be successful academically because I have put together a strong plan. If I am eligible to enroll in 2018 fall courses, I plan to retake BIOL 102 and BIOL 103 (currently enrolled in the summer BIO 102 and BIO 103 courses but after receiving my withdrawal letter my academic advisor and myself thought it would be best to drop them and take it during the year) that way I can focus on completing a specialization of biology and math which are also my teachables for the concurrent education program. I will also be retaking linear algebra during the year to make up for the lost credit, and I am willing to take an extra year of school to make up any other missing credits if necessary. During the school year I plan on staying in touch with my fantastic queen¿¿s councillor as well as getting in touch with a peer mentor so they can give me tips to succeed. I also already have contacts for tutors that are more than willing to help me when necessary. The past year has challenged me mentally, emotionally, and physically but I know that I am more than ready to get back to the hard working, dedicated, intelligent personal who has always dreamed of graduating as a Queens student. I believe that it is important to not let our challenges define us, shape us yes, but never define us. I know that my academics the past two years are the result of circumstances and not a representation of my capability¿¿s. I have learned from my mistakes and have grown as a person. I have the motivation, the mental state, the support system and the desire to be successful, all I need now is a chance for a fresh start and an opportunity to prove I have the ability to succeed as a Queens University student.
Thankyou for your time and consideration,
Sincerely Katherine.
