Academic Plan
I would select my program upon entering my third year and try to heighten my GPA in my second. If my withdraw were to be waived, I would take precautionary measures such as a applying for an academic accommodation and seeking regular treatment to ensure that this does not happen again.
In summary, if allowed to return next semester, I will:
1. apply for an academic accommodation
2. use the study resources that Queen¿¿s has onsite and request assistance when I need it
3. utilize private medical attention in order to combat the anxiety that leads to my poor performance and that stops me from asking for assistance
4. take courses next scholastic year that will allow me to be eligible for a history degree and routinely ask for help when I feel as though I am falling behind, and
5. learn from this that my anxiety can impact areas of my life that are important to me unless I have a solid plan in place and follow it. I know clearly that it will be through following this plan I will be able to improve my academic performance and become a better student.
My goal is to graduate from Queen¿¿s University with a BAH in history, longer term, I hope for a career in history. This year has taught me that in order to achieve my goals I have to do consistent and daily work to ensure my anxiety (and the affects I experience from it) does not impair my ability to achieve my goals.
