Petition Letter
To whoever this may concern:
I am writing this appeal letter to drop CISC282 late. I only took this class because the title said that it is about web developing and mobile apps, however, this course only covered the web developing part, which is to learn the languages needed to create a website, and my friends said that this is an elective. When I first asked the instructor about how much time I should be spending on this course, the instructor said she has no idea. So I spend a lot of time, more than I should I guess, on this course. As a result, I have less time with my other courses, the ones are necessary for me to take. I feel like although this is an elective and no other classes or plans in Computing need this course as a prerequisite, the course load and the assignments says differently, and I feel like I am unlikely to succeed in other courses if I finish this course. The reason that I have missed the deadline was because I thought, from past years, the deadline was the first week of November, and I thought I could drop the class on Solus as soon as I am finished with one of my assignments from one of my other class. However, I was mistaken, on the date of the deadline, and which in turn lead to this result.
Thank you for taking your time reading this and I hope that my appeal may be granted.
Again i really learnt my lesson here- that is do not assume the obvious and double check on everything.
Thanks again and have a nice day.
