Petition Letter
To whom it may concern,
I wish to make an appeal to drop HIST 286 for the fall term that I am currently enrolled in due to extenuating circumstances. I realize that I have missed the academic deadline to drop this course without having academic penalties but I am currently seeing a counsellor for situational depression and would like to be removed from the class without it having an affect on my transcript. My last meeting with my counsellor was this week and I was not in a position to make a decision before the academic deadline as I was still unsure about my plan. I do however wish to complete my fall semester successfully in my four other classes and I also plan to make up for the missed course in the up coming summer online. I will be providing supporting documentation from my counsellor regarding my well-being.
