Petition Letter
Starting from this Fall, I have been struggling from illness and surgeries throughout the semester, I have missed my very first quiz/test because I had a time conflict about my driver road test therefore I was absent on the first quiz, however, started from October, I was suffering from toothache, I had been through tough times during October, the level of the pain is extraordinary, it had largely affected my daily life, I was not able to fall asleep, eat because the pain, however, the worst is yet to come, I need to have my tooth job done, which involves lots of steps and times, I was not able to concentrate and focus during that time, which I was not able to attend the next following tests throughout October and November, until the time when I got the Root Canal surgery done, I realized that I had missed so much on my academic life, and there are much more I need to catch up in the end. I have talked to my professor to discuss the possibility of picking up the course and reschedule for the make up test, because of the grading scheme of both these courses, there are no finals for CISC203 and CISC204, it seems impossible to relocate the marking scheme to finals or make more arrangement for me in order the get grades to cover up the previous missed quizzes, I was suffering from the entire November and I was not able to reply emails that quickly, but I was trying my best to attend classes where possible. Unfortunately I did not any single quizzes on CISC203 and CISC204 this fall because of this long term health issue, I am considering to retake the courses next fall, however I have missed the deadline of dropping a course without penalty, please kindly excuse me for this circumstances as I was not in the good health condition and allow me to drop the course without academic penalty, I will be trying to recover asap and get back to school life like I used to, thank you
