Petition Letter
Dear Sir/Madam:
I am requesting permission to take the HIST 305 seminar, a 6 unit course. The First semester of HIST 305 is a shared class with HIST 296, which I am currently enrolled in. My interest has been stimulated in the course and I wished to pursue the seminar, however, I was unsure if I would get credit for it from the DEVS department as it was not on the list of DEVS ELIGIBLE courses. I have obtained permission from both the instructor of HIST 296/305 to join the seminar, and from the DEVS department to count it as an ELIGIBLE course. I recognize that it is late in the semester to be requesting permission to join the seminar, however, I will not be behind in course material as I have taken the same lecture this semester as the 305 students. My transcript currently has more courses than I can take, I am just waiting to hear about HIST 305 to decide which courses I will drop before the deadline for the winter semester, so my workload will be similar to what it was in HIST 296.
Thank you kindly,
Sara-Maya
