Petition Letter
20 December, 2018
Dear Dr. Johanne Bénard,
My name is Shaundra Buelow and I am a first year science student. I am appealing to be reinstated to MATH121 for second term. I wanted to change my tutorial time for second
semester as it conflicted with off-ice training for the varsity figure skating team. I contacted my professor as we were instructed to do so if we wanted to make timetable changes. I was informed that I could just switch it in SOLUS for second semester. When I tried to do this I accidently ended up dropping the course entirely. When I went into the Arts and Science office to resolve the issue, I was informed that I would have to appeal to be reinstated to the course. I have completed all of the work for first semester, including the December Exam. I need to complete this course this year in order to be accepted into my major. I hope to be able to complete the second half of this course as per usual if my appeal is approved, however I may have to catch up on work if my appeal is granted late. I am willing to do whatever extra work is necessary so that I remain at the expected level for the course and do not fall behind my peers. Thank you for considering my appeal.
Sincerely,
Shaundra Buelow
