Petition Letter
To Whom It May Concern:
The following appeal relates to my final grade for BIOL369 taken in the fall 2018 term under the direction of Professor Adam Chippindale
Under the direction of the medical staff at Sunnybrook Hospital in Toronto on 28th of October 2018, I was admitted for severe malnutrition and electrolyte imbalance related to a previously diagnosed condition of anorexia nervosa. During my time in hospital I was kept updated of course material and made all attempts to stay current. Despite my efforts I was unable to complete the midterm examination.
I am currently taking a medical leave (winter 2019 semester) to regain my strength and recover from my illness. presently admitted/under the supervision of the eating disorder program at Toronto General Hospital. I am requesting that my final grade for BIOL369 be calculated to include the coursework completed recognizing that while I made attempts to complete all aspects of the course, it was not possible due to my medical situation.
If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me directly.
