Petition Letter
Within the past month I shifted my academic focuses for graduate school. I have decided to apply to programs in the field of population and global health. I would like to take GNDS 380 to aid in my understanding of reproductive health within Indigenous populations. I was unable to switch into GNDS 380 prior to January 18th, 2019, because I felt the need to take courses with the field of life/health sciences to stay within my field of study. I was initially going to apply to research based graduate programs within the field of biomedicine, I have had a change of heart. Now that I have decided to apply to graduate programs that combine health sciences and the humanities, I want to take GNDS 380 to gain insight into Indigenous studies. My decision to switch into GNDS 380 motivated by my desire to ready myself for graduate school as well as participate in courses that I am interested in.
