Dear Board of Studies,
Although I was not surprised when I received a rejection for admission in the Bachelor of Education program, I was extremely disappointed. I knew when I applied that my CGPA was low for entrance in the Bachelors of Education program, however I had a passion and background in working with children and hoped that would shine through in my supplementary application. I am writing this letter to be considered once again for entrance in to the Bachelor of Education program so I can reach my dream career of teaching. The teacher I want to be is one who listens, observes and taps into each child's needs. I want to ensure each child feels they are competent learners by documenting their progress and reminding them of their accomplishments. The more I work and volunteer with children, the more I realize how tremendous of an impact the early years have on a person's ability to learn throughout their life. It makes me dedicated to providing the best learning opportunities for the children in hopes my efforts makes a positive lasting impression.
During my time of completing my undergraduate studies I was faced with many external stressors including a full time job and being a full time student. I did not know how to balance school and work together and ended up paying more attention to work then school. This put me behind in many of my classes and resulted in my low CGPA.
Moving forward there are many steps I can take to succeed in my studies, starting off with putting school first. School is my main focus since I am now working towards a career I am passionate about. Some steps I plan to take is attending all of my lectures and keeping up with my readings. I also plan to seek help if I am falling behind at any point during the school year.
Again, I fully understand and respect your decision to deny me admission, but I do hope you will reopen my file and consider my passion and background in working with children as a strength.
