Academic Plan
Although re-weighting the assignment would give me the opportunity to get a better grade, dropping ENIN 140 would impact me in the least negative way because I have met the required amount of credits needed to graduate. I do not plan to retake this course during the summer as I would struggle financially to do so. To continue with this course means running the risk of finishing with a C in the best-case scenario and a dangerously low GPA. This almost negates the upwards progress I have made academically since my second year. It will make my 3 active law school applications less competitive, thereby adding another barrier to the many I already face as a young, female immigrant and student of colour. I have been meeting with my other instructors to ensure that I am on track with my participation and my upcoming final essays. I have continued to reach out to my family and friends during this difficult time and will meet with my crisis counsellor in the near future.
