Petition Letter
To whom it may concern,
I am filling this appeal after months of attempting to communicate and explain my circumstances to a number of people involved in the process. I am appealing the fees charged for the 2014 Summer term enrolment fees.
I applied and was accepted to the Bachelor of Psychology in spring of 2014 and had registered for a number of classes. However, upon the start of the program i realized it was not a good fit for my circumstances at the time and dropped the courses through the online system(or I believed I did).
Fast forward to fall of last year when I was contacted by the university to notify me that I had an outstanding balance, to my surprise. I have since registered and attended another academic institution and did not proceed with my studies at Queens. For this reason, and for the fact that I had believed everything had been dropped through the online system and there was no communication correcting otherwise, I would like to request those fees to be removed from my account.
The classes were not taken so there is certainly no drain on the system and I did not continue as a student in that or any other program.
Any information on how to resolve this would be appreciated but I certainly do not believe I should be penalized for issues in your system or for courses I did not take.
Thank you for your help with this matter.
