Petition Letter
During my studies at Queen's I was expected to receive funding through my Native Band, which did not end up going through. On February 27, 2019, I was experiencing very serious financial issues which caused an extremely difficult decision to be made on my behalf as I was struggling to find enough money to support my basic nutritional needs. After a meeting with the academic advisor with the SKHS, I looked into some more financial support options, but nothing seemed to be working out. With this great amount of stress and worry, I was forced to move back home in order to start working and make some money to continue paying my rent. In the midst of these critical financial issues, I was unable to drop the required courses and am now faced with these failures on my academic profile. At a later date, when I am more financially healthy, I plan on returning to my studies and these failures would be very detrimental to this future goal in life.
