Academic Plan
For my academic plan, I plan on progressing slowly, but steadily. I plan on taking GPHY 243, GPHY 247, GPHY 207, GPHY 310, GPHY 312, and GPHY 320. I believe that these classes best suit my specific sets of skills and that they will also prepare me for my future plan going forward (geared towards physical geography and GIS). I believe that by taking a reduced course load, and only taking courses that pertain to what I am interested in, I will be able to perform significantly better since it is material that I enjoy learning as well as a lighter course load which should minimize my stress. I believe that following my plan listed in my appeal, I will be able to perform well across these courses and at the end of this upcoming year, I plan on applying to enter the GIS certificate program. If all goes well, I will continue on and take GIS related courses as well as BSC GPHY courses and hopefully be able to bring my GPA up above a 2.7 so I can apply to switch into the BSCH program. This is my immediate 2 year plan and my third year will be a year where I take my final courses needed to graduate with a BSCH in Geography and a certificate in GIS. This is my 3 year plan and may change based on the courses offered each year but it can act as a foundation for my 3 year plan.
