Academic Plan
I am beyond disappointed at the thought of not being able to go back to Queens next year as I love the school, the culture, the spirit, the education. I feel I really belong there and could thrive there. I am willing to do whatever it takes to come back and prove to Queen¿¿s and to myself that I am capable of being successful there.
Here are the things I am planning to do if given the opportunity.
1. I attend all classes.
2. If I miss classes, I will make sure to consult with professors/TAs to ensure I know what I have missed.
3. Although I am feeling better now, I will commit to reaching out for help from on campus support if I feel like I am struggling academically or emotionally.
4. I am willing to go for counselling this summer to find ways to cope with difficulties should they arise again - I am in a better state of mind now so am willing and able to do this.
5. I will be more mindful and organized about drop dates for next year. I was clearly not responsible about these dates this past year.
6. I would like to meet with an academic advisor to plan next year - I am considering changing my major and would like to talk to someone about this - I would appreciate the opportunity to meet anytime this month or all summer.
7. I would be willing to meet with an advisor every month for the next school year to monitor my progress.
I know I am capable of being a successful student at Queens and there is nothing I want more. I am enthusiastic about implementing all above-mentioned strategies and would be willing to listen to other suggestions the school has for me. I hope you will reconsider your decision and I look forward to hearing from you and hopefully meeting with you.
Thank you for considering my appeal. I hope to meet with you soon.
