Petition Letter
Dear Associate Dean,
I am looking to drop GNDS212 after the academic deadline, I understand that it is quite late in the semester but this year so far has truly taken a toll on my mental health and really tested my abilities. I am a student and a person who works very hard, but unfortunately this course has been very time consuming and difficult for me as I find that I am unable to grasp the concepts. I also find it very difficult to find time for the courses going towards my major. I work about 20 hours a week to be able to afford rent and food, and this course along with my other courses have been giving me lots of stress. Taking this step to drop the course has been something I considered, I also spoke to an academic advisor about my plans for undergrad and she agreed that dropping this course would benefit my overall happiness and health. I am really sorry to inconvenience anyone with this matter, but it would lift a huge weight off my shoulders if I did not have to continue with this course any longer.
I plan on continuing to work hard, and in the future I plan on choosing courses that are manageable and beneficial to my interests and career plan.
Once again I am sorry for any inconvenience I am causing and I hope to hear back from the Associate Deans office.
Thank you,
Christina Lambropoulos, 20126481
