I have received my assignment back for Pitch 1. The mark was 74. My mark got deducted for 50 because they said I did not give additional comments in the peer review.
I disagree with the professor's decision because I did submit peer review marks. There is an additional comments section in the peer review that didn't mention anywhere is mandatory. There weren't anywhere in the course outline or assignment outline mentioned that it requires to give additional comments. Or mention anything about the comments, the only part required is to give peer review marks back. I disagree that the course instructor or the TA to deduct my 50 marks from Pitch 1 which is Pitch 1 is weighted for 15 in the whole course.

I have had a look at this. Thanks for your patience - I was not able to give it enough time last night.
Here are 2 exerts from the instructions in OnQ (the first is from the assignment instructions, the second is from the Aropa peer review instructions);
OnQ - ¿¿As you watch each Elevator Pitch, record your notes and score (emphasis added) for each pitch on the rubric provided (see QUICK LINKS section above).¿
Aropa - ¿¿Write your review while filling out all of the assigned criteria¿
I believe that these instructions are quite clear, and that there is no suggestion that writing reviews is optional. Further evidence of this is the fact that you were the only student who submitted an assignment with the review/comments section of the rubrics left completely blank.
The quote below is from the assignment instructions in OnQ;
OnQ ¿¿ ¿¿Please note: If you do not participate in the full Peer Review stage of this evaluation (e.g. if you don¿¿t complete ALL of the peer reviews assigned to you), you will receive a penalty of 50. In other words, the only mark you will receive will be the average score given to you by your peers for the pitch you submitted, less 50.¿
I believe this also very clearly spells out the requirement and the penalty for not meeting the requirement.
As such, the penalty and your mark as posted, stands, Jacky.
