Petition Letter
To whom it may concern,
This past term, I had a very difficult year with my mental and physical health. I was doing quite well until late october when I went into a very bad place and was required to spend a few weeks at home in Toronto seeing doctors. Fortunately, I was able to get accomodations for those weeks that I was away. However, a few days after I came back to school I got very sick and I was consistently in and out of the hospital where I had to stay for long period of time. A few weeks later, when I got back, I re-met with all my professors to discuss how i might succeed in their courses. I was able to accomplish almost all the assignments and then also study for my exams. This was due to the help I received from my professors. My religions professor was extremely helpful in this as she told me she didn't have to submit her marks until Friday the 20th and that she wanted me to focus on my exams first to help reduce my stress. However, since returning home after finishing my exams, on tuesday night (while I was working on these final projects) I received an email from her telling me that I had to submit them to her by the 18th, instead. Since I was not able to complete this, the professor and I have discussed me retroactively withdrawing from the course. I was then told that I should complete this application in order to have the course removed from solus.
Thank you so much for your consideration,
Aidan Wellsman
