Letter of Appeal

Dear Appeals Committee,
I would like to apply to drop MAPP 400 from my current course list. I have documented health issues since January of this year and have been actively working with Tess Grant of Student Wellness to find a solution with accommodations. As of last Friday, discussions were still ongoing with the department and a solution had not been found.
After a conversation with Prof. J. Burge yesterday, March 2, and a follow-up email from him. I have decided to proceed to transfer my 4-year B.A. to a 3-year B. A so that I may graduate this June. I would like to ask that the course be removed from my transcript so that it does not affect my overall marks. Obviously, the preferred solution would have been to keep the course and graduate with an honors degree, but at this time, I cannot complete that 1.0 credit due to health related illness.
Prof. Michael Wheeler, Prof. John Burge, and Tess Grant all aware and in support of this. I can forward email documentation from them if it is needed.
Regards,
Kevin Walker
