Academic Plan
In order to plan for missed material, I got in touch with the current instructor for MATH 121, Professor Ping Li, to discuss how to catch up with the class once I was finally able to enrol in it. Professor Li sent me links to Alan Ableson's Youtube videos (videos used for MATH 121) for the material covered in both the first week of the course (Units 1 & 2), as well as the material that was going to be covered on the second week (Units 3 & 4), which is this current week. I took the time to watch the videos and prepare beforehand to enrolling in the class, so that not only am I able to follow the additional lectures from now on, but also be ready for graded assignments. In regards to material covered in the class, I am currently up to date. In regards to any missed graded activity, as based on the information about evaluation on the MATH 121 Summer 2020 website, I will have possibly missed two Weekly Concept Check-ins (total check-ins worth 5), as well as two Unit Self-Assessments (best 10 out of 12 worth 7). I will be discussing with Professor Li how to either complete these assignments late, or re-weight the remaining ones.
I have included in this appeal documentation providing proof of the extenuating circumstances that kept me away from Queen's, being term activated and leaving me unable to tackle my Senate Sanction until recently.
