RE: APPEAL TO ADD COURSES AFTER THE ACADEMIC DEADLINE - 0378 3963
I would like to appeal to add courses after the academic deadline due to circumstances that were beyond my control. I received my visa late, giving me one week to purchase my ticket and close on personal issues back home, which led to my arriving in Kingston on 18the January, 2015. Two days after the noted deadline.
I will be taking a minimum number of courses to enable me ease back into the academic environment as well as assess my performance and gauge my capabilities at the close of the semester.
My past academic record has not been up to Queen's standards of excellence, which was partly due to extenuating family circumstances involving my sick father who has since passed away. But I am willing to commit to improving my performance and succeed in completing my degree program.
