Petition Letter
I am a fourth-year Math majored student. Now, I am facing the difficulty of completing my BsH degree.
I am required to have three more elective credits to complete my degree plan. The reason is that at the beginning of the enrollment appointment, I planned to take JAPN 100 or ECON 212 in this fall semester. But I failed to enroll in both of these courses. Also, I talked to the ECON department, however, they said they could not make any accommodations for me since ECON 212 is not a required course for my degree plan. So I only take 4 courses this semester and decide to take ECON 212 in the winter with other 4 MATH/ STAT courses as well as commerce. Also, I am applying for BA programs for my graduate study so that there will be plenty of interviews in the winter term. I have to say that I am worried about taking 6 courses in winter term because it will be too much for me.
I am also preparing GRE test this semester which makes me feel stressted. So I decide to take an ECON elective or JAPN elective course this fall term in a university called Southwestern University of Finance and Economics that is located in china. Then I don't need to so streesed out about my winter plan. Another reason is that I am currently in China and cannot back to canada, so it could be easier for me to take a course in the same time zone. I hope that can let me complete my degree successfully as well as I can learn a course that I am interested in.
So I appeal to take an elective course outside QUEENS. Only three credits are needed.
