Petition Letter
To whom it may concern,
I would like to appeal to drop GRMN 101 for the Fall 2020 semester.
Due to the changed nature in the delivery of this course because of COVID-19, I have found it impossible to learn a new language wholly based on an online system. The course is set up for a self-learning experience with an online textbook, which I have had trouble navigating. As a result, I would like to appeal to drop this course without academic penalty with a full refund so that I may attempt it again when circumstances allow for me to attend this course in person.
I would like to note as an explanation as to how I missed the deadline as I was medically unwell from an IUD replacement. I had previously tried to engage in the course but also found my disability to limit my ability to navigate the course in the online format it is currently being provided. At the moment, I have not completed any of the course work as a result of the circumstances.
The main driving reason behind this appeal is due to the change in this semester's course delivery and format. Thank you in advance for your time and consideration for this request.
Regards,
Michelle Chu
