Petition Letter
To whom this may concern,
I am writing this letter to be granted authorization to drop one of my courses; ECON250.
There was a death in my family that occurred three weeks ago and deterred me from focusing on my courses. The death was very sudden and unexpected and I was not in the right mind to do anything, especially coursework. I did request academic consideration for extenuating circumstances for my other two courses but for ECON250, I am now too far behind in this particular course to the point where I cannot catch up and simply do not have the willpower to do so as this is a difficult time for my family and me. I am focusing on the few courses that I can pass at this point and ECON250 requires much more time than I am able to give right now.
In light of this, I request to be given the authorization to drop ECON250.
