Petition Letter
Dear reader,
I am currently enrolled in the ENIN 240, and wish to withdraw from the course to enroll in the BMED 373 course instead.
Over last three weeks, I have been overwhelmed in applying to graduate schools for the upcoming fall semester. This entailed finding three professors to write me a letter of recommendation, and moreover write letters to professors and researchers from different universities requesting for their supervision.
Because I am applying to research based programs, my applications demanded that I do individual research on each professor whose supervision I wish to have. Given that the variety in research among these professors, and the different works for which they receive funding I had to tailor my applications accordingly.
I understand that meeting the academic deadlines are my own responsibility as a student, but unfortunately I was unable to meet these deadlines given the required tasks of these applications.
In addition to the thesis course that I have been devoting most of my attention to, this application process has overshadowed my other academic responsibilities.
I sincerely apologize for this inconvenience and I take complete responsibility for my shortcomings. I am willing to take on the financial penalties of my request.
