Petition Letter
To whom it may concern,
I am writing this letter to explain the circumstances surrounding my request for an appeal of the grade I received on the final assignment in PHIL 271 from Dr. Deborah Knight. The final assignment for the course was a 1500 word essay on different philosopher¿¿s views on the standards of literary evaluation. I recorded class notes upon which the essay was directly based as well as readings assigned for the class. I included proper and frequent citations of these materials organized in an argumentative structure as requested and received a grade of zero on the assignment.
I find it very hard to believe that the work I did in full and submitted on time could possibly warrant a grade of zero on this assignment. I have reached out to the professor regarding the matter, but have not yet heard back.
I have attached the assignment in question as supporting documentation. I would be more than willing to provide you with any additional documentation that might simplify this process.
