Academic Plan
I had a meeting with the undergraduate chair of Kinesiology, Anna, and we discussed possible courses that I could take there and how those courses would transfer. UNSW offers many courses that would be equivalent to Kinesiology core courses, HLTH and KNPE. That being said I am planning to take all the ore course I need in third year in the fall semester. However, going to UNSW will allow me some flexibility if I choose to take one or more core classes second semester. Additionally, they offer some unique courses that I would not be able to take at Queen¿¿s but that I can still get credit for, such as, The Marine Environment. This class uses a combination of both theory and practical lessons. You get to learn about the physical and biological environments in the ocean and human impacts on those environments, then you get to actually go see these findings in the ocean that is minutes away from campus. Additionally, UNSW offers flexible study plans, called tailored terms. I would be interested in doing tailored term 1. This would allow me to take one course during their summer term in January and then proceed to do a normal term 1from February to May. Anna confirmed that I am on track in my academic requirements and studying abroad would not hinder that. Anna and I will be meeting again shortly.
