Petition Letter
I would like to make an appeal to drop English 162 after the deadline.
At the beginning of the semester, when picking classes, when it came to my turn to enrol in classes I had a lot of difficulty getting put in the classes required to progress in my academic plan. Having transferred from Carleton University with 3 credits I am ahead of most 2nd years in my Econ classes but this means that the Econ classes I try to get into are always full before I even get a chance to sign up for them since I am in the 2nd year time slot but going for 3rd year Econ classes. I had an email exchange at the time with Jennine Bell who works at Queens but she was not able to help me. As a result of this I had to play around a lot with my classes trying to find something that works. This confusing and with myself struggling with online school my parents and I decided that it would be better to do 3 classes during the winter term and 2 in the summer to make it easier on myself. As a result I dropped 2 classes (or I thought I did). Only to find out at exam time that I was still in one of those classes (ENGL 162) and haven't done anything in the class. As soon as I found out I emailed and called the Arts and Science help and the told me to apply for an Appeal when im done my other exams. Some how I must have not dropped the course when I meant to.
Any additional information needed and I can supply for proof such as emails with Mrs Bell, the facts I have been in 2 summer classes, the amount of times I dropped and added courses at the start of the year and that I have done absolutely nothing in the course and anything else that will help.
Thanks,
Daniel Lambert
