Petition Letter
To whom it may concern in the Arts and Science faculty,
I am writing to request an appeal for two courses that I took during the fall semester. These two courses are BIO 102 and COGS 100. Due to underlying physical and emotional issues that arouse mid-way through the fall semester. These issues put not only my academic capabilities on hold, it also caused my circumstances to become life threatening for an extended period of time. Unfortunately, juggling academics and mental/physical health was not something I could handle last semester. I have been working extremely hard to get back on track, using the Lasalle building and academic resources such as the Bounce Back program. The various outlets both on campus and at the hospitals here in Kingston have come to help both my academics and most importantly my overall health. The plan is to retake Bio 102 during either the summer months or next year, in order to pursue a life sciences degree. I am putting a substantial amount of effort to bring my grades up, in order to stay in university and pursue the academic pathway I came here to do.
