Petition Letter
First and foremost, I would like to say sorry for having to contact you under these circumstances, but thank you for taking the time to read my letter of appeal. I am aware that I have been struggling academically for a quite a bit of time now. To put it as concisely as possible, the reason for my academic struggles has been my mental health, which has been effected due to the circumstances which were beyond my control. Making mental health the scapegoat of this letter or of my life, for that matter, is not my goal, but it is a part of me which affects all my actions. I have never needed to describe this issue formally; so I am not sure how to impart the complexity of this state to you, but I would like to try. Living by myself alone in this pandemic has been the greatest challenge to me. Unable to gain access to specialized places and equipments, such as libraries, had a significant impact on my studies. I live in a rented room in a house, and It's hard to focus on my studies there, so I normally prefer to go to the study room in the libraries. At that time, I was not able to maintain a study-life balance, which led to stress and anxiety as I was self-isolated from the other world. These inexorable circumstances, which are beyond normal experience, lead to stress, anxiety and a feeling of helplessness in all. Apart from that I took those courses on Summer, libraries, recreational centers got opened I got to go outside interact with people spent time in the study rooms and my summer grades prove that I almost got from C to A-.
