Petition Letter
Hello,
I am appealing to waive the deadline to drop courses past the deadline. All of the courses were taken in the same year and I was unable to complete the course work due to struggles with my mental health after an injury and problems in my personal life.
These problems were compounded by the pandemic and furthermore lead me to take an extended two year academic sabbatical in order to focus on my mental health. The courses I am appealing to drop were intended to be the last few credits to complete my degree program. However due to unforeseen circumstances I was unable to deal with my anxiety and complete the coursework.
I believe that now as a mature student I am better equipped to complete the coursework and earn my degree. With the support network and skills I have learned from therapy I know that I can manage a course load of four courses per term and complete my General economics Program. Thank you again for your consideration.
