Academic Plan
As stated above, my inability to have a successful second semester was my mental health. This includes persistent depressive disorder and general anxiety. I have made many changes to help me succeed in my future schoolwork. I am meeting much more regularly with my therapist. I have also begun the process with my therapist and doctors to find a medication to help me cope with my mental health. This is a long-term solution and should begin to immediately help me make changes in my day-to-day life to benefit my mental health. As well I have spoken to and received documentation to apply for academic accommodations to prevent this from occurring in future years of study. Lastly, my therapist and I are going to work throughout the summer to create a plan for the coming school year. This includes an appropriate number of courses and resources to help me be successful. I have spoken to an academic advisor previous to this to help me create a successful and appropriate plan. With these steps in place, I should be able to be much more successful in my academic abilities and my own mental health.
