Petition Letter
First and foremost, I would like to say thank you for taking the time to read and review my letter of appeal.
My reasoning behind this appeal letter is to drop my two summer courses (LAW202 and EMPR230) after July 1st. Throughout my Summer term, I have been dealing with mental health struggles including anxiety and depression. These struggles have impacted my ability to complete my summer courses and made it very difficult to keep up. These struggles began at the beginning of the summer term and worsened as time went on. My mental health has made it difficult to complete assignments and just day-to-day life has been difficult these past couple of months.
I have spoken to my family doctor about these struggles and we are figuring out the best course of action to help. Going forward, I have been put on medication that is hopefully going to help with these struggles. I have also been in contact with a therapist who will help me going forward and will teach me coping mechanisms that can be used during the school year so I am able to finish successfully. I will send the letter from my family doctor by July 25th.
I am determined to finish my degree and to be successful and will have a plan as to how I can accomplish this before the Fall term starts in September. I plan on making up these courses next Summer.
Thank you once again for taking the time to read my letter of appeal and thank you for allowing me the opportunity to explain my circumstances.
