Petition Letter
I will be going to Yonsei University in Korea to finish my first semester of third year study. I have already completed my application to Yonsei University. My Film and Media Program encourages us to study elsewhere during our third year, so there is no 300-level core course.
I chose to study in Korea for a semester first because I needed to have a broad international perspective as a film and media major. Not only the Chinese and Canadian way of media, but also the knowledge of Korean media. Secondly, I want to learn Korean, which will help me learn Korean better by communicating with my new classmates in the language environment of Yonsei University.
And Prof. Pelstring, Undergraduate Chair, Dept. of Film and Media Studies, reviewed my plan to study abroad and she supported my plan to take classes elsewhere.
