Petition Letter
I am Hana Mahmoud, a PSYC student who's been enrolled in the university for 3 years consecutively but in the fourth year, I relapsed into a depressive episode that made me unable to focus and keep up with the deadlines and everything related to academic achievements. Then, I talked to my crisis counselor at Queens and we both agreed on the fact that I need a break from my studies to save my GPA as I was a successful student at Queens.
So I took a semester off and I felt ready to be back at the university in the summer and now I'm enrolled in the fall semester at Queens. I would really appreciate it if the osap and the registrar department at Queens get another look at my academic achievements and understand my decision to take a semester off.
