Petition Letter
My name is Nathaniel (Nate) Feldman and I am a third-year Political Studies major. I am appealing to you today to seek your approval to go on an International Letter of Approval to study at the University of Copenhagen (UCPH) in Denmark. The UCPH is an internationally recognized institution that has made significant contributions to academia. Their academics are some of the most rigorous in Europe and the world. While at UCPH, I hope to take a combination of POLS and HIST courses. The POLS courses will give me a deeper understanding of different political systems and the reasonings behind why some work and some fail. Having a different perspective on politics will make me a well-rounded student and give me unique insight in to the political workings of other countries. Danish history is complex and unique. I hope to learn more about danish culture and history through stories about Danish mythology, exploration, art, and literature. In my academic plan, I will link the syllabi for the courses I hope to take. I plan on taking two or three POLS courses and a history course. This combination will give me a greater grasp of Danish culture and their political beliefs.
