Petition Letter
In the second semester of my freshman year I took a temporary break from April to May due to health issues, so I didn't take my final exams on time. However, my condition did not improve much after May, so I did not stay in Kingston and stayed at a friend's house until September when I returned to kingston, so I did not take the final make-up exams at that time and did not notice the school's email. I deeply apologize for my previous lack of attention to the school's policy and for not taking responsibility for myself.
I am fully capable of completing math 111 and math 121, and I have averaged around a B in both subjects last semester, so I am not under academic pressure to study math 111 and math 121. So I would like to apply for an extension of math 111 and math 121 in status, or take the final exam.
I have been in a very stable mental state this semester and have been receiving counseling and doing well since August until now.
I'm sorry that I didn't pay enough attention to this until I found out now that it will have a big impact on my future course selection. I hope the school will give me another chance to make amends, as this is very important for my college plans.
Attached is my 'Request for Academic Consideration for Extenuating Circumstances' document from last semester. Please check it out
