Petition Letter
To Whom it May Concern,
My name is Michael McCue (20173690), I spoke with ASO as well as Prof. Trofimov and I was directed here by a Mrs. Forsberg after an online zoom session.
I unfortunately missed my enrolment appointment earlier in the year due to being in Halifax serving with the Canadian Navy, and I completely forgot I had to take different time zones into account. Fortunately, this situation was the exception and not the norm as I have returned to work in Ontario. I plan to transfer to Queen's Online History Degree following this semester, and HIST 231 is one of the courses that is required.
I understand that there are class limits and it would not be fair to other students to add me (I am 3 on the waitlist), however to play devil's advocate I would argue that I don't see many other students requesting to get into this course not even 12 hours after the add deadline has passed.
The Second World War is also a passion of mine academically, so getting into this class I would view as a positive double whammy.
