The Al Downe Memorial Fund

Established in memory of Al Downe by his family, students, community and also by Patricia Romans, for the purpose of bringing in high profile lecturers to campus to speak on biology related topics.

The Alan G. Green Memorial Fund for Economic History at Queen's

Established in memory of Alan G. Green, B.A. (Hons.) 1957, to provide financial resources to support research and teaching in economic history within the Queen's Economic Department.

The Alan R. Dennis Doctoral Award

Established by Alan R. Dennis, MBA'84. Awarded to Ph.D. level students enrolled in the Smith School of Business doctoral program in the areas of Management Information Systems or Operations.

The Albert & Annie Francis Foundation Graduate Award

Established by the Albert and Anne Francis Foundation and awarded on the basis of academic excellence to funding-eligible Masters or PhD students enrolled in Nursing in the School of Graduate Studies

The Albert H. Ruddell Award

Established by Albert H. Ruddell, B. Sc. 1952 (Mechanical Engineering), and awarded to a student entering the first year in Smith Engineering on the basis of financial need and academic excellence.

The Alberta Scholar at Queen's Law Scholarship

Established by alumni and friends from Alberta. Awarded on the basis of academic excellence to a student entering the first year of Queen's Law (J.D.) or joint J.D. program, whose address on admission to Queen's University is from the province of Alberta.

The Alexander and Cora Munn Summer Research Award

Established by Alexander Munn, B.A. 1942, and Cora Munn, B.A. 1972. Awarded to students of Conservation Biology in full-time summer positions in a research environment at the Queen's University Biological Station.

The Alexander MacLachlan Peace Prize

Annual award for the student with the highest standing in a history course pertaining to Canadian politics or foreign relations. Established in memory of Alexander MacLachlan, former President of International College, Smyrna, by the MacLachlan family.

The Alfie Pierce Admission Award

Established by the Afro-Caribe Community Foundation of Kingston. Awarded to students entering first year of any undergraduate degree program on the basis of need, academic achievement and contribution to the African or Caribbean communities in Canada.

The Alfred Bader Fellowship in Memory of Jean Royce

Established by Alfred Bader and other friends in memory of Jean Royce. Awarded to a woman graduate of Queen's for study/research which contributes to the advancement of knowledge, contributes to society, or allows creative expression.
